MOUNTAIN CITY –– A crash involving two vehicles Saturday night killed two people in Johnson County, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report.
According to the report, a car heading eastbound on State Highway 67 around 11:51 p.m., driven by Christopher S. Profitt, 22, with passenger Shana Vanover, 24, both of Mountain City, crossed the double yellow line, hitting another vehicle head on in a curve. Both vehicles ended up on the westbound shoulder of the highway.
Both Profitt and Vanover were killed in the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, Carl Trivette, 67, and his passenger, Dora Trivette, 65, of Butler, were injured in the crash. No information was available on their conditions.
