Seating is still available for East Tennessee State University’s College of Business and Technology’s 28th annual Tennessee Business Taxes Seminar/Workshop on Aug. 9 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Millennium Centre.
The event provides an opportunity for professionals and tax practitioners to receive current, in-depth tax information from representatives of the seminar co-sponsors, including the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, the Tennessee Department of Treasury and the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
Among the seminar topics are legislative updates, electronic tax filing and information on specific taxes, including business, unemployment, individual income, tangible personal property, sales and use, and franchise and excise taxes.
Those attending have the opportunity to receive immediate, authoritative answers to specific questions concerning individual businesses.
Upon request, participants will be given a complete list of registrants to assist with networking opportunities. Accountant may earn eight hours of CPE credit for participating, while attorneys may obtain CLE credit.
The seminar fee of $175 covers a catered luncheon, morning and afternoon refreshments and extensive materials.
