Cottages at Feathers Chapel purchased

July 30th, 2012 3:01 pm by Staff Report

BRISTOL — Epcon Communities has purchased the Cottages at Feathers Chapel community in Bristol out of bank foreclosure. The community, which offers a maintenance-free lifestyle, furnished clubhouse and heated in-ground swimming pool, was previously approved to accommodate 114 ranch-style homes.
To date, there have been 52 villa homes completed at Cottages at Feathers Chapel. The new owner plans to continue to build the same ranch-style villa homes, but at a more affordable price than the original developer. Epcon Communities has also introduced and begun construction on new free-standing, ranch-style, single-family homes within the community.
Since purchasing the property, Epcon Communities has put a lot of emphasis on rebuilding homebuyer confidence in the Cottages at Feathers Chapel community. The company is also in the process of building two new decorated models. Besides turning around Cottages at Feathers Chapel, Epcon Communities is currently building similar communities in Ohio, North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana and Alabama.
Two models are currently under construction. Once completed, they will be professionally decorated and showcase the two different lifestyles being offered at Cottages at Feathers Chapel. The 2- or 3-bedroom models will display brick accents and cultured stone exteriors, rich address plaques, appealing rooflines, and professionally installed landscaping.
