Former caregiver charged with theft

Johnson City police charged a former caregiver Monday with stealing from a person who had been in her care.
Lynn A. Siebert, 45 yrs., 233 Morrison Rd., Chuckey, was charged with theft over $500 and theft under $500.
In a report, police said Siebert had cared for victim Martha Collins, whose current caregiver reported May 3 that several items had been stolen from Collins' Sioux Drive residence.
Collins also had reported April 24 that several items had been stolen, including an iPad valued at $700 and a purse containing $60, a checkbook and a credit card. Siebert previously had been charged with using Collins' credit card.
Police said Siebert's boyfriend, Danny Hubbard, found the stolen items at the residence he shared with Siebert.
Siebert was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center on $6,000 bond and arraigned Tuesday in Sessions Court.
