Competition stiff on area diamonds

Nobody is running away and hiding in area baseball leagues.

Each of the three conferences have developed multi-team chases for the top spot, including the Big Eight.

Science Hill was picked to win, and no serious observers are counting the Hilltoppers out despite a pair of early-season losses. However, there are six very competitive teams in the league, and any matchup in that loop promises the possibility of the game going either way.
