Norris living the dream in spring training

Daniel Norris takes relaxing runs on the beach, gets to watch some TV and hang out at the Baymont Inn and Suites near the ocean.

But life’s pace — not coincidentally — is about as fast as a baseball that leaves his left hand.

Norris, the former Science Hill ace who signed for a $2 million bonus in August after being drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round last June, is working seven days a week and basically loving every minute of his first spring training in Dunedin, Fla.

“I’m living a dream, absolutely,” Norris said Monday night. “I wake up every day very blessed to be able to play the game I love.”
