Why all the fuss over liquor by the drink in Erwin? It is clear it shouldn’t be voted in. Liquor, beer or any other intoxicating drink has never done anyone any good. It only causes heartache and trouble.

The Bible is our authority. We will be judged by it someday. The evidence is found in Leviticus 10:9 — “Do not drink wine or strong drink lest ye die.” Proverbs 20:1 — “Strong drink is raging and whosoever is deceived is not wise.”

For those who sell it, Habakkuk 2:15 says “Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also.”

Liquor has destroyed more men than all of the wars of the nations. Convincing enough? Something to think about. Don’t do it. You can’t control it — it will control you.
