In today’s time we often find ourselves focusing on remembering special events, holidays, and inspiring people or causes.
These big days are often planned for and celebrated weeks in advance, but sometimes little unexpected days can turn into significant events that are burned into our memories for years to come. This is exactly what the Olive Garden in Johnson City did in October. They honored the people at the Dawn of Hope by preparing and serving them a very special meal.
They honored them because they wanted to do something nice for our service recipients and employees for no particular reason. They sent a team of exceptional staff to take over the Dawn of Hope kitchen and not only prepared the meal, but served the meal as well. It was a lovely and delicious surprise that both our service recipients and employees enjoyed immensely. The food was fabulous!
The Olive Garden team was energetic, funny and friendly. But it was more than the food and their staff, it was their attitude. The Olive Garden team respected our service recipients and employees and treated them as if they were royalty. That’s honor. And when you honor someone, it’s never a little thing. It’s big!
So for all those people and organizations in the Tri-Cities who do things like this for the Dawn of Hope, please know this: we appreciate how each of you remember and honor us, and we are most grateful for your love and support.
