Elect Brock

Published March 20, 2013

It has been my privilege to have known Jenny Brock since she came to Johnson City in 1981 as a graduate assistant in the physical education and exercise science department at East Tennessee State University. Upon completion of her master’s degree, she then became a faculty member of that department until 1989.

During this time she not only taught classes, but started the Fit Kids program through a partnership with the Paty Co. and also developed the area’s first corporate wellness program for Paty.

In conjunction with Texas Instruments, she was responsible for computerizing the testing equipment in the exercise science laboratory. She was a driving force in preparing many students for careers in the wellness area.

I offer the above mentioned as an example of her many accomplishments that show she is not only a visionary but an individual who can bring her thoughts and ideas to fruition. These examples also show she can work with both “town and gown” and adds to her ability to understand that Johnson City can grow into an even more vibrant and productive community.

It is without any reservation that I would encourage you to vote for Jenny Brock to represent you on the Johnson City Commission. My best to all who work and live in a wonderful part of our country.
