On Dec. 1, the Press published one more in a long series of inane and wrong-headed right-wing columns by Dennis Prager. Those who preach taking responsibility for one’s mistakes seem unable to acknowledge responsibility for their own.
Did the right-wing candidate of the GOP lose after winning the nomination in a primary battle that resembled a circular firing squad, and after running a ham-fisted campaign? Prager pompously insists that the cause was leftist brainwashing.
Certainly the cause could not have been that the triumph of the tea party radicals resulted in the nomination of a candidate who palpably lied about his ideological history in order to pander to the radical right, could it?
Thanks to the Press for entertaining us with right-wing propaganda that counts on our not being able to distinguish between honorable conservatism and radical ideology.
