He attended Grace Fellowship Church in Johnson City.
He was born in Evansville, Indiana, and is the son of Phyllis Williams of Erwin and the late Dorsey Williams. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of 47 years, Angie Williams; his children Sheri Brummett and husband Darrell of Kissimmee, FL, Lori Buxton and husband Wake of Williamsburg, VA, Ryan Williams and wife Aubree of Jonesborough, TN; Eight grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Jonathan, Zander, Joseph, Peyton, William and Samuel; great grandson Nathan; mother in law Dorothy Henry (wife of the late Wallace Henry, Jr.); brother in law Wally Henry and wife Lola of Miami, FL; a nephew, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rick worked for the city of Coral Gables Police Department for 10 years. He was the proud founder and owner of Spi-Ro Manufacturing, Inc. and the co-owner of B& W Services. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, Georgia, Dr. Keith Cook, and Mountain States Hospice.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held on Saturday, June 9, at 2:00 pm, at New Victory Baptist Church, Jonesborough. Memorial donations in memory of Rick can be made to “Assistance in Healthcare Southeastern”, www.newnan.aih.org.
