Richard "Dickie" Franklin Mathis - JOHNSON CITY
In loving memory of Richard (Dickie) Franklin Mathis, 71. He was born August 9, 1938, and departed this world on November 2, 2009, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Johnson City, Tennessee. He was employed at Hartman Funeral Home for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Mathis, of Johnson City; two sons, Richard Mathis, of Kingsport, Tennessee, and Russell Mathis, of Johnson City; two sisters, Betty Jeanes, of Johnson City, and Barbara Tucker, of Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, Harold Mathis, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three grandchildren, all of Kingsport, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli Mathis and Zelma Costner Mathis; and three brothers, Howard Mathis, Jack Mathis and Carroll Mathis.
