Mr. John G. Lafferty, born in Carter County, the son of Sally Holland Lafferty and the late John E. Lafferty, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, at his home in Spring, Texas.

He attended Lees-McRae College and the University of Houston. He was of the Protestant Faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers: Sam, of Pasadena, Texas, Alton and his wife, Monica, of Houston, Texas, and Sean and his wife, Marla, of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews and also a great niece.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Billy Jarvis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cochran-Carver Cemetery, Hampton. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
