Clara Crawford Board, 90, of Roanoke, formerly of Elizabethton, TN, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 10, 2012.

Born in Kingsport, TN, she was a daughter of the late Thurley and Martha Crawford and also predeceased by her brothers, Haskel and Newell Crawford; several infant siblings; and her beloved husband, William Nelson (Bill) Board.

Clara was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Elizabethton, TN, and currently a member of First Baptist Church, Roanoke. She was retired from IT&T.

Surviving are her three sisters, Dovie (John) Nelson, Mary (G.K.) Harrell and Janice Cox; four brothers, Herman Crawford, Don Crawford, Jerry (Linda) Crawford and Junior (Reita) Crawford; and thirty-three nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Oakey’s North Chapel. Dr. Phillip R. Martin will officiate.

Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Oakey’s North Chapel.
