Jonesborough road headache to end by July

Work to replace underground utility lines along Main Street in downtown Jonesborough will continue over the next few months but is expected to be complete in advance of the June 30 kickoff of this year’s three-day Jonesborough Days and Nights festival.

“The weather can and will affect the progress and we have been blessed with a lot of good weather,” Mayor Kelly Wolfe said Wednesday as Jonesborough Water Department and Johnson City Power Board work crews continued the construction from Fox Street to the east side of the Washington County Courthouse.
