Pay raises proposed for Johnson City's police and fire employees
The JCPD is asking for a $491,334 increase to its current $11.7 million personnel budget in the new fiscal year to bring its full-time staffing level up to 177 employees. That increase includes a 4 percent salary increase (costing $374,500) for all employees, and covers the $13,014 needed to upgrade three correctional officers to shift supervisors at the city’s jail.
