Hawkins judge sentences three for crimes against children

ROGERSVILLE — Judge John Dugger sentenced three people to prison time Friday in Hawkins County Criminal Court for separate crimes against children, including two women who used drugs last year while pregnant.

Ashley Nicole Hardesty, 28, 104 Persia Estates Drive, Rogersville, pleaded guilty Friday before Dugger on one count of felony reckless endangerment in exchange for a one year sentence with 30 percent release eligibility.

Sarah Ellen Ceron-Garcia, 27, 1134 Ridge Crest Ave., Kingsport, was also sentenced to one year with 30 percent release eligibility for one count of felony reckless endangerment.

What a joke. Felonies being charged and a chance to be released early after serving 30% of it? No wonder people reoffend.
