Knoxville suspect arrested in school bus theft

KNOXVILLE — A 61-year-old Knoxville man has been arrested for stealing a Knox County Schools bus this week that was found in Anderson County, according to authorities.

Hillman Greenlee of Lawson Avenue has been charged with one count of theft and is being held at the Knox County jail in lieu of $7,500 bond, according to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk. He was arrested at his home.

On Wednesday, Bus 117 was reported stolen at 6:30 a.m. from a bus lot at 236 Prosser Road, authorities said. Hours later it was found abandoned in Anderson County.
