BLOUNTVILLE — A Blountville man died Friday afternoon from injuries sustained the night before, when he allegedly shot his brother in the chest before turning the gun on himself.

Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Leslie Earhart says an investigation is continuing, with detectives getting mixed accounts of what sparked the altercation.

At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to 311 Bowman Creek Rd., where the men live with their parents. Police found David Baker, 22, had already been taken to the hospital by a friend, while EMS was called to transport Daniel Baker, 24.
