A Unicoi man was arrested Thursday following an investigation into burglary at a Johnson City residence in July, according to a police news release.

According to the release, Kevin Allen Fitzgerald, 43, 106 Marbleton Road, was charged after items that were stolen from the residence were sold immediately after they had allegedly been stolen from a local business.

Fitzgerald reportedly presented his photo identification when he sold the items to a local merchant.

He was charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000 and was taken to the Washington County Detention Center.

Fitzgerald was being held on $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court today at 9 a.m.
