A Jonesborough woman was arrested Thursday on a charge that she shoplifted more than $500 worth of merchandise from a Johnson City Walmart earlier in the month.

Cindy L. Freeman, 25, 231 Old State Route 34, Jonesborough, was charged with theft of property over $500.

Police said the arrest resulted from an investigation into shoplifting from the Walmart at 2915 W. Market St.

Freeman was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $1,000 bond pending arraignment today in Sessions Court.

Baloney? acchokiefan, I seriously doubt this woman was stealing baloney from Wal Mart to feed her family. If you have a beef with Wal Mart or any other business, don't break the Ten Commandments, hit 'em in the pocketbook where it counts and hurts. Stealing/two wrongs doesn't/don't make a right.
