Kingsport police seek information on possibly endangered toddler

Kingsport police are attempting to locate a woman who was reportedly driving on Lynn Garden Drive Thursday morning looking for her toddler who she said was dead somewhere in the area.

According to a KPD press release, a woman who had been walking on Lynn Garden Drive Thursday morning near Sevier Terrace Drive encountered a woman driving a maroon Honda Accord. The walker said the woman, who police identified as Stephanie Salyers, was hysterical and told her she was looking for her toddler son who was dead somewhere in the area.

Police say Salyers left when she was told no child had been seen. Police said that efforts to locate the child and Salyers failed to produce any information. Salyers is described as 5'7"-5'8" tall and weighs approximately 140-145 pounds and has long dark hair. The Accord she was driving has a broken left taillight covered with tape.

There are plenty of Stephanie Salyers on Facebook. Some of them are in the surrounding area, like Clinchwood, VA or KY. I would start there and round up some information.
