Bristol, Va., police search for stabbing suspect

BRISTOL, Va. — Police were searching for a 21-year-old man suspected of stabbing another man on Bradley Street Thursday evening.

Witnesses reported that Jerico Scott Moore, address unknown, had stabbed the victim in front of 2464 Bradley St. about 6:30 p.m. and left on foot, police said in a news release.

Police found 41-year-old William Ray Mounce, who reportedly lived at the address, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Mounce was taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center, where he underwent surgery Thursday night. Police learned that he had been stabbed five times. His condition was not available.

Police were unsure what prompted the stabbing. No weapon had been found.

Moore was described as a white man, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, about 185 pounds and having hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a white tank-top shirt and a welder's cap.
