A parole visit resulted in a convicted felon's arrest Monday on a weapon charge after agents found a gun and ammunition in his residence, Johnson City police said in a news release.

Christopher Deguglielmo, 23, 184 Oak Grove Road, Gray, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Police said in a news release the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole and the 1st Judicial District Drug Task Force conducted a home visit and during a search found a handgun and two loaded magazines.

Deguglielmo is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms. The Tennessee Department of Correction's website lists him as a parolee.

Deguglielmo was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Tuesday.

In June 2010, Deguglielmo was one of two inmates in the Sullivan County Jail, Blountville, involved in a fight that led to an aggravated assault charge, according to NET News Service reports.
