The Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference is the largest orchestra clinic in the world, held every December in Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center. The Science Hill percussion ensemble had to compete against hundreds of other ensembles of different types from all over the country to receive the invitation to play, according to McGuire.
