
MOUNTAIN CITY - An inmate at Northeast Correctional Facility in Mountain City escaped Tuesday while on work detail, according to the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
Grady Edwards, a non-violent offender, walked away from work detail at NECX Annex this morning. He was a minimum custody inmate. The TDOC Office of Investigations and local law enforcement are searching for Edwards.
He would have been eligible for parole next year.

thats so sad but know one really knows what he was thinking when he walked away but i hope what ever it was it was wroth it . maybe he will think about what he did and go back and turn his self in even tho his still going to be charged for it god bless that man
