Charges pile up for Possom Hollow man in assault arrest

A Possom Hollow Road man was jailed Tuesday on charges that he assaulted a woman in her South Broadway Street apartment.

Just before 4 a.m., Johnson City police arrested Jacob D. Weems, 418 Possum Hollow, on accusations that he entered an apartment at 426 S. Broadway through an unlocked door and assaulted the female resident, police said in a news release.

Police charged Weems with aggravated burglary, domestic assault, domestic vandalism and criminal trespassing.

Weems also was served with charges of domestic assault and violation of probation from a previous incident, police said.

He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $13,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance this morning.
