Fire damages church’s fellowship hall
By JohnsonCityPress.comwebstaff@johnsoncitypress.comELIZABETHTON — An early Monday morning fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the fellowship hall at Green Mountain Church, 922 Dry Creek Road, police said.

Email ArticleThe fire was discovered when a neighbor got up at 3:50 a.m. to see why her dog was barking. Joan Ramsey said she heard a crackling sound coming from outside. When she looked she saw the fellowship hall on fire. She immediately called 911.
Officer Brad Johnson of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the fire.
