Two Johnson City men accused of sexually assaulting a woman and beating up her and her boyfriend were arraigned on burglary, assault and attempted rape charges Friday in Washington County General Sessions Court.
Janmichael Vincent “Gotti” Lingo, 21, 1400 Orleans Terrace, Apt. 420, is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated burglary and attempted aggravated rape. Adrian Dashon “D” Bizzell, 405 Bettie St., is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, and attempted aggravated rape.
Johnson City police obtained warrants on two other men, as well, but they had not been arrested.
According to court documents filed by JCPD Investigator Matt Bolton, police responded to and aggravated assault at 600 St. Louis St. around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Officers found Randy Tucker, who had been beaten with a beer bottle, suffering from lacerations to his head.
The female victim, who had also been assaulted, told police Lingo and Bizzell had sexually assaulted her with a liquor bottle.
She said the men forced her to her knees and urinated on her. The woman said she was able to get up and make her way to Tucker’s apartment, but that the men followed her. Bizzell, she said, forced his way in uninvited.
She told police that Bizzell hit her a third time with the beer bottle and Tucker attempted to intervene and was hit also. Bizzell left the apartment, according to police, but returned a short time later with the other three men.
Tucker and the woman “heard someone attempt to kick the back door and at the same time someone jerked open the screen door that was locked,” according to the warrant.
The document went on to detail how Bizzell and one of the other men held the female victim down while Lingo and the fourth man surrounded Tucker.
The woman “heard two thuds and all four fled from the apartment. When she was able to get up, she found Tucker covered in blood,” Bolton wrote in the warrant.
Bizzell is being held on a $250,000 bond and Lingo is being held on a $150,000 bond. They both have preliminary hearings scheduled for Aug. 29 at 1:30 p.m.
