ELIZABETHTON — A Roan Mountain woman was arrested Tuesday evening on nine counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacture.

Amanda Rene Fleenor, 27, 160 Dolan Hollow Road, Roan Mountain was arrested at her residence by agents of the First Judicial District Drug Task Force. She had been indicted by a Carter County grand jury in July on the charges.

The charges are from alleged purchases of cold medicine containing psuedoephedrine, a critical ingredient in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Fleenor is alleged to have made the purchases from March 2012 to May 2013.

Fleenor is scheduled to answer the charges during the next sessions of Criminal Court.
