NASHVILLE — Police in Nashville say a man visiting a friend who owns a market was fatally shot during a robbery that netted thieves little.

Investigators said 50-year-old Darrell Lyndell Wright was killed Sunday evening. He had stopped by the market to visit Augustus Church, who owns it.

Witnesses said two men walked into the store and one of them fired a shot, striking Wright.

The robbers fled on foot and are believed to have taken less than $10 in cash.
