The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has reopened two trails that have been closed since an F4 tornado struck the western end of the park in 2011.
Work was recently completed on Beard Cane and Hatcher Mountain trails, the park said in a news release this morning.
The trails were closed in April 2011 after tornadic winds and rain left them blocked by thousands of downed trees.
