Annual Coptic conference set April 19-21

From hypnotherapists and psychic researchers to motivational speakers and experts in the exploration of human consciousness, the annual Coptic Fellowship International & Tri-Cities Metaphysical Study Group will host a little bit of everything at this year’s conference.

Scheduled for April 19-21 at the Holiday Inn, 101 W. Springbrook Drive, conference participants will be able to explore this year’s theme of “Know Thyself: Creating the Sacred in the Human Experience, Embracing the Shift in Universal Consciousness.”

Patti Conklin, a medical intuitive and facilitator, will be one of the featured speakers at the conference.

“I am a medical intuitive, which means that scientists kind of label me as a walking MRI,” she said. “I can see inside the human body about six weeks ahead of traditional testing like MRIs and ... CAT scans.”

Conklin said she had her first experience with her gift when she was 3 years old, was tested for her abilities at 28 years old and began working as a medical intuitive full time at age 38.

She said her business is in helping doctors diagnose patients when traditional methods are not working or identifying the medical problem or issue. Conklin said every disease in the body is awarded an emotion, and said she is able to see those emotions in the human body and locate the source of the problem.

“It’s been 18 years now. I travel all over the world. I fly about 100,000 miles a year, teaching and working with people,” she said.

Conklin will have her own scheduled speaking time at 4 p.m. April 20 for her ‘It’s Time! Let’s Move Your Consciousness Forward’ lecture, but said she waits to meet the audience before ever deciding on what it is she will discuss in the presentation.

“I wait to see the energies of the people and then I decide what I’m going to talk about,” she said. “The title, in terms of consciousness, is just really opening up yourself and not being so limited ... by your thoughts or your beliefs or your perceptions or your faith.”

Conklin will join Jeanne Greening and Roy Martina for a healing service on April 20 at 7:15 p.m.

A bookstore and gift shop area full of books, art, music, handcrafted items, jewelry, crystals, candles and clothing will be open at the conference April 19 from 2-7 p.m., April 20 from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and April 21 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

She said the annual conference is a good place for those interested in or simply curious about metaphysics to come and explore.

“I think that people, if they’re interested in expanding their awareness and spirituality and metaphysics, ... what the big picture is, then it’s a good conference to come to. You may find that one speaker that says two tiny little things that completely alters your perception of your life,” Conklin said. “I think people should attend if they’re interested in expanding their mind, maybe having new ideas, thoughts, new experiences. One of the things I love about the energy of the Coptic is that there’s just not politics going on. It’s just a growing, happy, opening experience. It’s an awesome conference.”

The conference is open to the public and free, but freewill offerings are accepted.

Personal service consultations are available at the conference, including intuitive counseling sessions, channeled readings, numerology readings, intuitive crystal divination and tarot readings.

The pre-registration cut off date to sign up for a consultation is April 15.
