KINGSPORT — A search warrant allowed police to find marijuana and records of drug transactions at a Kingsport residence, where officers also seized 10 firearms due to the felony nature of the discoveries, according to reports.
Kingsport police records say the warrant was served at 628 Fairview Ave. The resident, Christopher Dougherty, 28, was present when officers arrived shortly after 1 a.m. Monday.
KPD Vice Det. Nathan Elliott said police had received anonymous tips regarding drug transactions at the residence. Approximately an ounce of marijuana, scales and baggies were allegedly seized during the police search, along with eight rifles and two handguns.
