CHATTANOOGA — Officials have identified two brothers, one of whom died, who were caught in a house fire on April 1.
Tyrell Jackson, 3, died from smoke inhalation and “toxic products of combustion,” according to a Hamilton County medical examiner’s report released today. The child sustained major burns to his face, back, arms and legs, according to diagrams in the report.
Tyler Jackson remains in critical but stable condition at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga.
The cause of the fire is unknown, as is where in the house it began, said Bruce Garner, public information officer for Chattanooga Fire Department.
