Police: Hawkins man tried to flush marijuana when officers raided home

KINGSPORT — A Hawkins County man with a lengthy felony record was allegedly attempting to flush 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana down the toilet when deputies raided his home Tuesday morning.
For the past two weeks, the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit has been investigating alleged drug trafficking at the residence of Johnny Michael Stallard, 37, and Desera Jade Allen, 24, both of 3879 Rocky Hill Lane, located just north of Allandale off Lewis Lane.
Stallard is listed as a multiple violent felony offender with past drug convictions who recently completed a term of parole and is currently on probation until 2021.
