Police said a Bristol teen lied when she called Washington County 911 in January to report a burglary, resulting in her arrest on Monday.
Shelly Amber Lawrence, 18, 1304 Windsor Ave., Apt. B, Bristol, called 911 on Jan. 16 stating that she was the victim of a burglary at 2507 Louise St. She told 911 a black male was in the hallway of the residence and that he had allegedly cut her left forearm with a knife.
But when police investigated they learned the burglary never occurred and that Lawrence had given police false information.
Police later located Lawrence at her residence in Bristol.
Charged with false reporting, Lawrence was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Tuesday.
