Man charged with burglary of Kingsport tattoo studio

KINGSPORT — A Kingsport man inked his ticket to jail on Tuesday after allegedly stealing $6,000 worth of tattoo designs from a city business.

A report of an individual attempting to sell a tote filled with tattoo flash reportedly led investigators to their suspect. Christian S. Newberry, 21, of 1856 Reedy Creek Road, was arrested and charged with burglary and felony theft.

According to Kingsport police records, on Tuesday evening officers were called to Ink Revolution Studios, 2309 Fort Henry Drive. The owner had arrived to find a lock removed and back door standing open
