PIGEON FORGE — A 21-year-old Bristol man died and another remains hospitalized after the father-son pair were shot Sunday sitting in their pickup truck in the parking lot of a Pigeon Forge motel.
Pigeon Forge Police Chief Jack Baldwin said it is a very ususual type of crime for Pigeon Forge.
“I don’t know that we’ve ever had anything like this,” the chief said, noting that the city’s last homicide involved a couple on their honeymoon several years ago.
Justin B. Dillard died Sunday night, and his father, Travis B. Dillard, 47, also of Bristol, is in stable condition at University of Tennessee Medical Center.
