BLOUNTVILLE — A deputy's attempt to stop a speeder in a school zone ended with officers digging their suspect out of the garbage, as the driver allegedly bolted from his vehicle and attempted to hide in a Blountville dumpster.

The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office would later learn that William Rigoulot, 29, of 240 Hunters Trail, had an active warrant for violation of probation. Due to Friday morning's incident he's now facing a number of charges, including evading arrest.

According to a police report, the incident began Friday morning at 8 a.m, in the school zone of Blountville Middle School. A deputy allegedly observed a Chevrolet Cavalier traveling 37 mph in the 15 mph zone.
