Woman charged with filing false reports

A Johnson City woman was arrested Tuesday for filing two separate false reports, according to a police news release.
According to the release, Norma Jean Poff, 23, 305 Royal Circle, Apt. 53, was charged after she allegedly filed two separate reports saying that she was the victim of an aggravated domestic assault and reported that her boyfriend choked her during an argument.
The reports were filed on Feb. 13 and 14.
Poff reportedly showed up at the Johnson City Police Department after she found out the police were involved in a pursuit involving her boyfriend.
She was taken to Washington County Detention Center and was being held on $10,000 bond.
Poff is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court today at 9 a.m.
