Police: Shoplifter took 11 ties from Johnson City mall store

A Kingsport man was arrested Friday on an accusation that he stole several ties from a Johnson City mall store.
Brandon W. Bentley, 3424 Page St., Kingsport, was charged with felony shoplifting.
In a news release, Johnson City police said Bentley was caught shoplifting 11 men’s ties — worth a total of $682 — from Belk in the Mall at Johnson City.
Bently was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Monday.
