Woman charged after meth lab found in vehicle

A Bristol, Va., woman was arrested Friday after police found a “one pot” methamphetamine lab in a vehicle, according to a police news release.
According to the release, officers investigated a report of a possible methamphetamine lab at 524 Pine Lane and came into contact with strong chemical smells and found the methamphetamine lab inside a vehicle.
Police said they made contact with the suspect, April R. Wood, 36, 9363 Reedy Creek Road, and she was charged with initiation of methamphetamine manufacture process, promotion of methamphetamine, felony drug equipment possession and violation of a drug-free school zone.
Wood was taken to Carter County Detention Center and was being held on $11,000 bond.
She is scheduled to appear in Carter County Sessions Court on Monday at 9 a.m.
