Johnson City police charge man with multiple traffic offenses

A man was charged by Johnson City police with numerous traffic violations Sunday, according to a news release.
Police stopped William Derrick Reed, 41, no address given, on suspicion of driving under the influence.
A check of Reed’s record revealed he was a habitual motor offender, according to police.
Reed was charged with that and DUI, simple possession, failure to maintain control and improper lane change, police said in the release.
He was being held on $7,000 bond in the Washington County Detention Center.
A hearing was scheduled for Monday in Sessions Court.
