Kingsport pair charged with stealing from Johnson City mall store

Two Kingsport residents were arrested Saturday after the walked out of a Johnson City mall store with nearly $1,000 worth of stolen merchandise, police said in a news release.
Glenn Castle, 48, and Tammy Castle, 31, both of 3320 Cardinal St., Kingsport, were arrested after employees at Sears in the Mall at Johnson City saw them leave with about $960 worth of merchandise they had not purchased, police said.
Charged with theft of property over $500, the Castles were jailed in the Washington County Detention Center and later released on $5,000 bond each. Hearings were set for Monday in Sessions Court.
