Active meth lab found in store parking lot

BRISTOL — Two people were charged after police found an active meth lab in a vehicle located in a grocery store parking lot in Bristol Thursday afternoon, a Bristol Police Department news release said.
According to the release, Burke Willis, 26, and Brittany Ketron, 21, were allegedly suspects in shoplifting lithium batteries from Food City, 1317 Virginia Ave. When officers and narcotics detectives located the suspects’ vehicle, they found an active meth lab in the trunk.
Willis and Ketron were both charged with theft under $500, simple possession of schedule II and schedule III drugs, drug paraphernalia, initiation of meth manufacturing and promotion of meth manufacturing.
Willis was also charged as a fugitive from justice because warrants had been issued for him in Virginia, the release said.
