Limestone woman charged with attempted murder allegedly fired four shots at Kingsport couple

KINGSPORT - A Limestone woman charged with attempted murder by Kingsport police fired four shots at two people late Saturday night, according to court records, striking a man in the leg with one of the rounds.

Cathy McMackin, 57, of 101 Glendale Road, Limestone, Tenn., was arrested Sunday. Kingsport police say McMackin was apprehended by police in Limestone, with a $75,000 bond set during a Monday arraignment. As of Monday afternoon she remained held in the Kingsport city jail.
