Bristol police searching for robbery suspect

BRISTOL –– The Bristol Police Department is searching for a suspect that robbed a Cash Express on Friday afternoon, according to a news release.

According to the release, an unidentified white male walked into the building at 740 Volunteer Parkway around 3:45 p.m., brandished a black handgun, demanded money and then ran on foot through the parking lot toward 7th Avenue.

The suspect is in his late 20s to mid-30s, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing around 170-180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light gray zip-up hoodie, dark colored cap, dark pants, light colored tennis shoes and dark sunglasses.

The amount of cash the suspect took from Cash Express has not been determined.
