Rebranding ETSU: Committee for 125 tasked with forming school identity, plan for next 25 years

When you think of East Tennessee State University, chances are you may envision one of the more than 90 logos that exist to represent the institution, its departments, programs and facilities.

To change that and provide a single encompassing brand for the 101-year-old school, ETSU President Brian Noland has commissioned a group of individuals from across the area and country to lead an effort to establish exactly what it is ETSU needs to be by the time it turns 125 in 2036.

This group, known as The Committee for 125, met for the first time a few weeks ago to get acquainted and set a general direction for the discussion that will be held for the next few months. Subcommittees have been designated and a couple of consulting firms have been hired to help plot the course for ETSU for the next quarter century.
