Man faces charges after traffic stop

A Johnson City man was arrested Friday after a traffic stop revealed he was in possession of marijuana, a police news release said.
According to police, Raliegh Meeks, 24, 1147 W. Mountainview Road, was pulled over for improper passing and police found that his license had been revoked because of a DUI.
It was during the traffic stop that Meeks was discovered with more than 15 grams of marijuana.
He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center and charged with possession of schedule VI for resale and driving on a revoked license, the release said.
Meeks was being held on $23,000 bond and will appear in Sessions Court on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
